"Lagniappe" is
a modified form of a Louisiana French Creole term that derives from the word
"yapa," meaning a gift or tip. Simply put, Lagniappe means "something
extra." In
this section, we give you all the extra stuff we'd like you to know that just
doesn't fit into another section--most commonly, the news of the day.
