Lauron's Rule #42:
"What's in it for me?" That's what we all want to know. Are you answering that question for your prospects and customers in everything you do?

Who's Your Ideal Customer?

Sure, a lot of people can be your customer, but who's your ideal customer and what exactly makes a customer ideal for you? Maybe it's that they fit the demographic profile of your target market but they also value the work you do, don't expect unreasonable turnaround, and pay their bills on time. Begin figuring out your ideal customer by looking at the ones you currently have. Who would you like to have ten, a hundred, or thousands more like and why?

Develop a detailed profile of your ideal customer.Create a picture of them in your mind and tailor all of your marketing efforts and your business decisions around attracting those people.

What are the specific characteristics that make up your ideal customer?

If you don't have clarity on what makes a customer ideal, you won't know who to look for, or even recognize them when they knock on your door. More importantly, you'll welcome in the wrong kind of customer.

The more your business focuses and attracts an ideal customer, the more productive and profitable your business will be and the more sane and satisfying your life will be.
