Say
Thank You "Just Because"
March
27, 2006
Send one thank you note, card,
or gift every year to every single client "just
because." The bigger the client, the bigger
the gesture required. Include no other marketing.
Nothing
about you; everything about them. Be very sincere.
|
Don't include
any marketing. It's all about them; nothing
about you. |
It's
even better if you can throw in an extra bonus
or incentive if it makes sense with your business.
I
once got a birthday card from a hair salon that
regularly mails promotions to its clients. At
first glimpse, I was very impressed and feeling
good. But when there was no coupon for my next
haircut, no incentive to purchase hair-care products
or to try a special treatment, I was disappointed
and felt that the company was being stingy. Their
gesture backfired with me. So, if you're commonly
known for giving things away, be sure to include
a gift with your thank you.
What's
the best way to say thank you to your customers?
Do it!
